Public will have free transportation from Guimarães to the Penha stage

  • Shuttle bus will run between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM on the 23rd

The municipality of Guimarães, host city for the start of the Rally 6 Cities North of Portugal (October 23–25) and also for the final ceremony at Campo de S. Mamede, is offering free transportation to anyone wishing to watch the first stage, Monte da Penha/Guimarães (2.92 km), taking place starting at 7:05 PM next Friday.

Rally enthusiasts planning to watch the cars pass during this closing event of the European Rally Championship (ERC)—and penultimate round of the Portuguese Rally Championship—in its first “special stage” can take the shuttle bus service operating between Guimarães and Penha (via Mesão Frio) from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The departure point in the Guimarães city center will be at the Campo da Feira bus stop (Largo da República do Brasil), where specific signage dedicated to the Rally 6 Cities North of Portugal will be displayed.

The arrival point at Monte da Penha—which will also serve as the pickup location for the return journey to Guimarães—is set at the Penha – Penha 3 bus stop.

The Rally 6 Cities North of Portugal will then continue on Saturday and Sunday across the municipalities of Fafe, Felgueiras, Boticas, Cabeceiras de Basto, and Ribeira de Pena, featuring a total of 16 timed special stages (178.18 km). The podium ceremony to honor the winners is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Sunday at Campo de S. Mamede in Guimarães.
